Our motorcycle builder Brady Young is building a CB550 to ride across the continental U.S. We will be documenting the build process and the trip. We are doing it on vintage brat/cafe's and we ride pretty scrappy. Mishaps and epic fails are all part of the fun as well as the epic get-away. The CB750 Build from Brady Young and Seaweed & Gravel is finally done! It has been a year in the making. I met Brady a little over a year ago and I had a beater cb750 in the back of my truck at the time. I told him this would be my babe. He kinda smiled while we made plans for other builds that were much more in the forefront. This build got pushed back by each client that came along. I didn't really mind because I knew she was going to be amazing. As it happens, some of the other builds were the testing grounds to work out the mistakes so this bike would be right the first time...
Brady Young’s CB550 quick build. Brady says he did this build in a week but mainly over a weekend. He said he just wanted the bare minimum on the bike and didn’t really care how dirty it looked. Seaweed & Gravel and Ugly Motorbikes are making cafe racers accessible to the everyday riders.
It turns out this bike became the standard for cafe bikes all around the globe.
