Seaweed & Gravel Plan to do a ride to the Hoedown Saturday Morning at 7:30 sharp. We are taking the long way and making a mountain ride out of it.
Depart from Seaweed & Gravel (1144 N. Hwy 101, Encinitas, Ca. 92024) at 7:30am sharp (meet at 7:00am) and head to Big Bear via 79 (temecula) to the 38 (back way to big bear) then proceed along the Angeles Crest Hwy to Pear Blossom Hwy through Wrightwood (Lunch) then proceed on HWY 2 for a gorgeous mountain ride which takes you to La Canada. From there we will head northwest on the 210 to the 5 North and take 126 towards Fillmore then at Santa Paula head north on the 150 through Ojai, then up the grade to Camp Scheideck.
This will be an all day ride, about 360 miles. Be prepared! It takes about 8.5 hours from San Diego to the camp. We should arrive around 4 or 5:00pm. No small cc bikes please.
If anyone wants to pickup the ride along the way you are welcome to do so. You will have to figure out the timing when we will get to you based on these maps.
