A dear friend of S&G, out of West Chester, PA, advocate Caleb Arrowood, restores a true beauty; The beauty in Black + Gold. A bike well worth the double take.
Caleb embarked on this project to pay an ode of respect to someone whom he held close to his heart, someone who had passed away, by building this bike
into the machine it had the potential to become.Although a work in progress, some major steps have been completed thus far, and having received a first hand account from both Caleb and his craftsman counterpart, Justin Childers, we can confidently agree that this motorcycle is
going to be something quite special and cannot wait to see the final product out on the road.
Says
Caleb, "So far, we have upgraded to vintage OEM for boots, aluminum
headlight brackets, nitrogen gas rear shocks, tapered steering
bearings, 35mm clip on bars with solid billit collars, a 1986 Honda
Goldwing GL1200 right master brake cylinder, OEM main wire harness loom,
nickel retro billit aluminum grips, slim ballast Xenon HID black
projector headlight, voltage regulator rectifier, 1977 Honda CB750
stator cover, as well as rebuilt all of the handlebar electronics. Along
with all of the modifications, we have been powder coating and painting
the entire bike in Black and Gold".
With a story as genuine as this, and such a passion for the tools of the trade, this is going to be a sight to behold once it's out and running. An honorable tribute indeed. Continue to check back with us for updates as we follow this story >> http://seaweedandgravel.com/blogs/news
